  Don't go on the weekends, gross tourists everywhere. Go before 8am on a weekday. Hang out with the fishermen. I'm serious. Order the homemade Corn beef hash, coffee and blueberry muffin (grilled). It's dank. Most of the waitresses suck tho.

  The service was outstanding! We felt like locals even though we were just traveling through on vacation. I'm a huge diner, drive in and dive fan and saw this on the map. The food was just as awesome as Guy described it. I had the trio of salad (tuna, egg and chicken). It was delicious and huge portion. I almost couldn't finish it! Try their local hot sauce (I even bought a bottle to go). My friend had the lobster roll with drawn butter. I don't like lobster but when in Maine ya gotta! It was tender and sweet and the butter was a great pairing obviously! Again, you get your money's worth! My other buddy got the haddock sandwich and it was light, seasoned and fried to perfection! They were warm and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

  This is my favorite restaurant in Portland. The food is as good as home-cooked, but with a cool New England twist. This is the perfect place to go for a meal with a friend or for dessert and coffee. (Try the Lemon Lush.) This restaurant was featured on a Food Network show, and it lives up to the glowing review it was given there.
  
  Parking is tricky here. It's very limited, so you end up having to park other customers in many times. You leave your name and license plate number/car description at the counter, and when the customer you've parked in leaves, the hostess/server comes to get you to move your car. It's not the most convenient setup, but the food is good enough and the restaurant is popular enough, it works.
  
  If you come at typical mealtimes, be prepared for a wait. It's not uncommon to find yourself waiting 15-20 minutes for a seat. There is, however, seating at the counter if you don't mind sitting there.
